As North Carolina wedding planners that love the charm of Durham, we so enjoyed providing full-service planning and design for an adorable couple who wanted their fall wedding in downtown Durham to feel full of personality. They loved green, so we used it as the cornerstone of the design by layering tones and textures to create something unique.

The celebration took place in an industrial-style venue, where we softened the space with green taffeta draping that brought warmth and movement to the room. Fun linens from BBJ La Tavola added even more personality, creating depth and visual interest that perfectly matched the couple’s playful spirit. For florals, we drew inspiration from ikebana-style design, incorporating white dahlias and soft greenery arranged with intentional form and space. The look felt sculptural and refined—modern, yet organic.

Dinner was plated and served by HL Catering, and guests enjoyed an intimate, elevated experience surrounded by candlelight. This Durham wedding was the perfect example of how thoughtful design and planning can transform an industrial space into something warm, creative, and unforgettable.
